TERMS & CONDITIONS
Order Confirmation
After you have placed your order and we have processed your payment we will provide you with an order confirmation by email. This email does not guarantee that the product(s) you have ordered is/are available - it only represents confirmation that we have received your order.
Order Cancellations
Please consider that Beachwood may cancel all or any part of an order (including any orders that have been accepted) without any liability to you for that cancellation at any time if:
- A product ordered is not available;
- There is an error in the price, features or specifications of a product posted on the Beachwood Online Store; or
- We reasonably believe your order has been placed in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
On cancellation of an order, we will refund your payment to you. If we cannot stop the shipment of the order at the time of cancellation, then you will be required to refuse delivery or return the product(s) in order to receive a refund.
Custom Orders
For custom orders that are cancelled, the deposits are non-refundable. Cancelled lay-bys incur a 35% handling fee and the outstanding amount will be given as a credit note.
Returns & Refunds
Please choose carefully, as Beachwood does not offer money back on returned goods. We do happily exchange goods or issue a credit note if they are returned in perfect condition within 7 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.
Credit notes must be redeemed within 3 years and used within one purchase.
Please choose carefully as we do not have a “try before you buy” policy. There is an exception for a few items such as dining chairs where if you are local we can loan you one to try - and we will always do our best to assist you in choosing the right items for your needs.
Damaged or Faulty Items
Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any faults or damage immediately.
Our goods (including our special orders and custom made items) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Please either email us: us@beachwood.com.au, or call our Avalon store on (02) 9918 7162 between 9:30am - 4:30pm, 7 days a week to report damaged or faulty items, and to work with us on rectifying any issues.
For returns which require a pick-up to be scheduled, if you have organised a return but are unreachable to schedule a pick-up within 60 days of this notification, Beachwood reserves the right to cancel your return. If Beachwood cancels your return in these circumstances, any payment which has been processed will be not be refunded to you.
Delivery & Pickups
Delivery
Delivery fees will depend on where your order is being delivered, the size of the package and the weight. Currently, we can only provide online delivery rates for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane - please click here for rates. If located outside of these areas you (or courier) can pick up your goods in store or request a freight quote and we'll get back to you within 24hrs.
Delivery lead times are given at the time of ordering and they vary depending on where the good is made and the suppliers own lead time. Please consider that lead times are an estimate and from time to time the delivery of specific items will exceed our usual stated delivery window for reasons outside our control. In general, lead times are:
- 1-2 weeks for cushions;
- 4-6 weeks for upholstery;
- 4-10 weeks for locally made furniture using reclaimed timber (variation depending on the carpenter);
- 14 weeks for American ash and oak furniture.
We work hard to process all orders as quickly as possible and we will contact customers a few days in advance when we are certain the goods will arrive. Please be aware that someone aged over 18 must be present and able to accept the delivery at the address supplied by the customer.
For heavy furniture we will discuss access to the house before quoting for delivery. Typically two men are required to handle heavy furniture. We usually use furniture removal companies (not couriers) to deliver and place the item.
If no one is home to receive the delivery, the goods will be brought back to our warehouse. In these circumstances if you would like the item to be delivered again we will have to charge for the costs of a second delivery and handling fee.
Pickup
You may choose to pick up your goods by selecting "Store Pickup" at checkout and we will contact you once the order is ready to collect. Pickup is from our warehouse at 1/8 Ponderosa Parade, Warriewood NSW 2102 from Monday to Saturday.
We ask that the person collecting the order provide:
- A copy of the order confirmation;
- Photographic identification and a signature when collecting the order.
For heavy items you will need to bring assistance to load. We recommend bringing a blanket or towel to protect the furniture during handling and transit.
Product Availability
Some items in our website may be unavailable or out of stock. If you would like to be notified when a product is available again please leave your email address in the product page and we will notify you when it's back in stock.
Beachwood specialises in custom furniture. If you see a product that you like but it is unavailable or you need a different finish or size, get in touch - we can make the piece to size and indicate an estimate lead time.
We are currently working on adding more products into the website - therefore, there are products available in-store that are momentarily not available to purchase online.
Colour Variations
Colours displayed are as accurate as possible, but please note there might be a slight variation from what is displayed on your screen to what the colour looks like in-store. If you are unsure about your purchase prior to ordering, please contact us via email at us@beachwood.com.au and we can provide you with images of colour samples or visit our showroom at 1/8 Ponderosa Parade, Warriewood NSW 2102 from Monday to Saturday.
Pricing
All prices listed on the website are in Australian Dollars and include GST. If shipping to your location is available, it will be calculated separately at checkout and the delivery price will be displayed during the checkout process, prior to payment and order confirmation and included in the total price of your order.
Beachwood Gift Cards
Customers may purchase Gift Cards from our retail store. They expire 3 years after the date of purchase and cannot be returned or exchanged wholly or partially for cash.
